Founding Partner
Joseph D. Castellucci, Jr., Esq.
Joe’s experience in the field of education as a former educator and as a school law attorney gives him a unique advantage in representing students with special needs. He has a wealth of experience in navigating both the public education and legal systems. Joe advocates for students who require special education programming and related services through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), or accommodations via a Section 504 Accommodation Plan. Joe also represents students and their families in disciplinary hearings (including allegations of harassment, intimidation, and bullying) before school boards, enforcement of students’ civil rights and any school-related matter including cases against colleges and universities.
Joe further represents individuals seeking a guardianship over a loved one should that person require one due to incapacity. He is also appointed by the County Surrogates' Courts to represent the alleged incapacitated individual in guardianship actions.
Joe received his Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall Law School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, cum laude, from Seton Hall University. He is admitted to practice in all New Jersey courts and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Joe also routinely appears before the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law (OAL) where special education due process hearings are held. He additionally worked as a special education law clerk for the OAL while he was in law school.
Joe was selected to Super Lawyers-Rising Stars for 2018 in schools and education law.
